My mother can make tiny orange cupcakes aka MINI AWESOME just like that. I should really pick up baking. Even though I can’t even pick up sleeping normally.

The last time I went down to Singapore was the first time I tried MOS Burger. I went right up to the cashier, said “this is my first time here, what’s your favourite?” Answer: a Kakiage burger. Rice burgers! I think I might have to put this in my Singapore checklist henceforth.

Since I mentioned posting more traditional food, here’s my breakfast this morning: bihun sup. MYR 3, barely a US dollar. In English that’s rice vermicelli soup, which doesn’t sound as delicious in translation. Warm belly feelings, a little spicy (that red stuff is chilli), holds me over till dinner, & makes me long for my mother’s rural hometown up north.

I should post more traditional food photos sometime. (and I will! but) I just found my memory card reader, and this long lost, ridiculously redundant steak lunch (a side of beef bacon!) just brought a rumble to my belly. It was only 30 ringgit. Must. go. back.

Bread pudding with vanilla sauce. Bondabeb my mother made this, it’s chilling out in the fridge waiting for me to crave it, say, at 4:48am. I should just go. to sleep. already. dammit. Goodnight!

Had this last week at Delicious with my awkward turtle Tash. I haven’t eaten anything yet today but I suddenly want dessert.

On the right; a standard Maggi instant noodle pack, a craze which has never died in Malaysia and is part of everyone’s childhood (and also the starving student’s diet and adults who want food in 2 minutes). Kari Letup = Explosive Curry flavour.
On the left; one pack of kimchi ramen I bought on a whim, which I don’t know the name of because I don’t know Korean. But it’s gargantuan and I threw in 2 eggs & 4 prawns so I’m set for lunch and dinner. I should experiment more with unreadable foreign ramen. Or learn how to cook.
