I miss my end-of-winter Melbourne; cheap and brilliant coffee, fresh sushi, walking everywhere, living in a ridiculously awesome location with equally awesome and ridiculous company, the sum of nine fruits, pretty streets dressed in aerosol and fluorescent gig posters, considering layers in the morning, heaters at night. And the reading culture, an endangered species here in Kuala Lumpur, is something that gave me pangs when I read lainie’s blog today.
Also, hot damn do I miss the chillies! Kuala Lumpur food is as spicy as its blisteringly tropical heat, but there’s something to be missed about burning my tongue off in single digit celsius weather. And I sorely miss it.
Romanticism aside, I would still only stay there for a month. But I didn’t, I stayed for two weeks. So, insert lame photobooth photo and gah!
